Tradition and Trust
Since 1991, „Grosist“ has been the first private cigarette distribution company in Macedonia and the number-one buyer of cigarettes from Makedonija Tabak Skopje. It was built on experience, discipline and integrity.
Founder Kostadin Stavrevski was, from 1971, the Macedonian representative of „Fabrika Duhana“ Sarajevo for Marlboro (Sarajevo), Bond, Drina (Sarajevo) and other cigarettes. He started with a single warehouse in Bitola, and „Grosist“ soon became the second-largest cigarette distributor in the country after Tutun Skopje. In 1999 the company became the authorised distributor of Philip Morris and T.K.P., and in 2006 of A1 across the whole of south-western Macedonia.
Today, led by Petar Stavrevski, we continue with the same principle: direct field distribution, regular visits to points of sale, and business relationships built over decades of trust.
Our History
Late 1990s
Expansion of the warehouse network
Warehouses in Ohrid, Struga, Kičevo, Debar, Resen and Strumica. The company positions itself as the second-strongest cigarette seller in Macedonia after Tutun-Skopje.
1999
Tabak Grosist and authorised representation
„Tabak Grosist“ is founded and the authorised distribution of Philip Morris and Tutunski Kombinat Prilep for south-western Macedonia is consolidated.
2006
Distribution for A1
The company becomes the official distributor of A1, the telecommunications provider, for south-western Macedonia. This extended the network beyond tobacco products and confirmed the trust of leading brands.
